Have an animation for using the lifts.
Obviously for the finished product having an actual shaft and a single lift going through would be best, but in the meantime, something like the seamless tp thing for shuttles would be good. After choosing a destination the doors close and you're tp'd to a separate lift with the animation while the next deck loads and then you get tp'd into the lift room on the new deck and the doors open. that would also solve having to wait for the lift to come to your deck and the fact that the E Deck stop is so far away from the others.
